Remote
Binocular Optics w/Magnetic Head Tracking
ASL Model
R6 is a complete eye tracking system to use in situations
where the stimulus presented to the subject is restricted to a
single surface such as a computer or video monitor and where
head mounted optics are not desirable. The system allows the
subject approximately one square foot of head movement which
eliminates the need for head restraint.
The advantages
of the R6 binocular pan tilt over the competition are many:
Uses bright pupil technology, giving superior capture
and contrast.
The only system that can combine the
magnetic head tracker with the pan tilt to virtually eliminate
the need to reacquire the eye during motion or correct for
point of gaze errors.
The only binocular, multispeed
(60, 120 or 240 hz w/ no loss of resolution) remote pan/tilt
system.
When not being used in the binocular mode, the
system can be used as two separate monocular
eyetrackers. |
Data
Output
The Model R6
Binocular is designed to measure a subject's eye line of gaze
with respect to a single stationary surface in the
environment. This measurement is displayed as two cursors or
cross hairs superimposed on the image from a remote mounted
scene camera or other video source showing the subject's field
of view. A videotape of this image can be created as a
permanent record.
Recorded data include time, x and y eye
position coordinates and pupil diameter on each eye. External
data events/marks can be recorded along with eye tracker data.
Eye position coordinates correlate to specific areas on the
surface being viewed. Vergence is also calculated. If the
Model R6 includes an optional head tracker, head position and
orientation can also be recorded.
Model R6 EYEPOS
operating software provides the system operator with the
ability to enter calibration and subject data and specify the
operating parameters of the Model R6. EYEPOS also converts
the eye tracker data records into ASCII format for
transmission to other computers or to off-line spreadsheet
analysis. Data is available directly from the Model R6
control unit through a serial
port.
