Binocular head mounted high speed optics on a hockey helmet pictured

ASL separates the high speed cameras into two pieces. By doing this several things are accomplished. First, the majority of the weight is centered on the top of the head, not out front. This makes the headband/helmet easy and comfortable to wear. Second, the optics are on the forehead, out of the line of sight, obscuring none of the field of view. A third advantage is that this system allows the flexibility to mount the optics on a larger range of headgear without a concern for balance and comfort.

The binocular system has many features that set it apart:

Cameras can be adjusted to 60, 120 or 240 hz with no loss of resolution

Windows based binocular interface program

EYENAL analysis program works with binocular data

Vergence computed, if desired

Binocular EYEHEAD intergration (figures out where line of gaze intersects real objects in the environment)

System can be seperated and used as two monocular systems

Optics can be mounted on a variety of headgear

Both eye cursors are displayed on scene image
